Home sweet home one would say, but being in Hamburg for less than a day wasn’t – surprisingly much. I had to change a couple things from my bags (don’t need suits and ties in Halifax) and could be bothered to do that before hand 5 weeks ago. Due to the hospitality of my wonderful sublerette, I stayed with her at my my place.
In a chat with the O.C. Banker – waving to California – I carelessly. made the comment that >> I will now get for Luise and me Sunday-breakfast at the local bakery << without ever having mentioned her name to him before. A sudden WHO …, WHAT …, was the dramatic response. Clarification was of course promptly given.
However due to the vast amount of US-Prime-time-Episodes in my possession she is now addicted to HIMYM, what she until now denies, but I think the steady increase of the nightly Barney-Legen … wait for it .. dary-Dose will prove me right.
But girl, don’t worry, we’ll provide you with Season II-III. (Bro’Code Law 49).
So now sitting in the -already late ICE* to Heidelberg (without having even moved one inch from Altona), I say good-by to the most wonderful city in world (one last glance over the Alster towards the Jungfernstieg).
C U Perle, .. in 2009 !!!!!
* ALWAYS get your long-distance train from Altona on a Sunday Afternoon WITHOUT having any kind of reservation !!!
